Tulips

Pepe’s birthday was also my nameday. My sweet husband brought me these beautiful tulips. Is there another function to flowers except using them for photography? I took this photo handheld in the normal living room evening light using the full aperture of my 50 mm f1.8 lens. I really like how it turned out!

Birthday boy

Today I actually pressed the shutter a couple of times. To be honest, I had to look for a while before I managed to locate my 50 mm lens… But the occasion was this handsome boy who turned four years old today :)

Dreaming

Sorry for the long break between posts. I’ve been fed up with the non-stop winter and too cowardly to go out in the freezing cold. Also having a headache for almost two weeks hasn’t really inspired me into photography… Now the headache seems to be gone and I’ve digged a sweet puppy from my archives. The cute dreamer belongs to my sister-in-law and I’m just wondering what’s going on behind those two shiny black buttons in her head…

Puppy

This is my sister-in-law’s new puppy. She’s a sheltie (a shetland sheepdog) and a real rascal :) Sadly the photo isn’t quite pin-sharp and the stuffed horse behind the dog disturbs the photo a bit, too.

Young face

This photo is one of the first I took with my 7D. I just got the camera on Monday evening – then the next day I had promised the girls we’d go shopping. Well, I had to take my new camera with me! With the 50 mm f1.8 lens, because it’s so conveniently small and light. This photo was just a very quick snap across the cafe table. I just can’t make up my mind which version works better – colour or b&w?
